• Hello, I am a library/media teacher assistant at the elementary school. I work Tuesdays in the library emphasizing typing and reading skills. On Wednesdays and Thursdays I travel to classrooms to emphasize technology skills. I have a Bachelor of Theology with an emphasis on elementary education. I am also a certified parenting coach through John Rosemond's Leadership Parenting Institute and a parent expert on his website ParentGuru.

I have a passion for research. With the advancement of technology, information is available at the touch of a button. However, with this great priveldge comes the great responsibility to ensure information is passed on accurately through reliable sources. In the classroom, I am assist in fostering that emphasis on accuracy, along with encouraging confidence in utilizing technology and improving writing skills.

I also love to read. I rarely meet a book I don't enjoy, whether it be Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus by Mo Willems or the latest best seller from the bookfair. Stories transport readers to new places, reveal new cultures, and build understanding and empathy for new situations. In the library, students are encouraged to check out books that will cultivate their love of reading and their individual interests.  Sometimes these books will be above their reading level, other times they will be below.  By checking out an assortment of books, students learn to inquire, think critically, and gain knowledge which fosters the necessary skill of independence.

I am very thankful for the opportunity to work with your children.
