Welcome! I am excited to help your student start their transition into junior/senior high!  I will be teaching 8th grade Language Arts and 9th English.

About me:

For over 20 years, I have been in middle school... I mean, teaching middle school! I am an avid reader and learner and I hope to inspire your student to do the same. My key philosophy for my classroom is to make it safe and respectful. I hope my students are willing to take risks and be active in their learning. 

I am married and we have two children, Drew and Bree. I love to be outside- I particularly enjoy fishing, swimming, and shooting trap. I also enjoy watching/playing almost any sport. We also have two dogs; Gracie, a chocolate lab, and Rosie, a toy Australian shepherd.
