Hello, students and families, my name is Mr. Burns and I am the Skilled and Technical Science teacher here at Conestoga. This will be my sixth year at Conestoga and am looking forward to it! I graduated from Wayne State College where I earned my degree in industrial technology education. While in college, I spent time with the Cross Country and Track team, as well as worked full time in the construction and manufacturing industries.

I teach a variety of classes including: Welding, SENCAP Welding, Auto-Mechanics, Drafting, Construction, Intro to STS, Woods, Intro to STS Metals, Engineering and Problem Solving, Small Engines, and also have 7th and 8th grade exploratory classes.

  • Classroom Expectations:

Students should come to my class every day prepared. In order to be prepared for class, students will need their school device and a pencil.

No food in the classroom , but drinks with a screwtop lid are acceptable. No food or drinks in the shop setting.

    Homework:

Most assignments in my class are planned to be completed in class. This means homework is a very rare occasion.
