Head Start is a Federal program for preschool children.  Children who attend Head Start participate in a variety of educational activities to help all children succeed, to grow mentally, socially, emotionally, and physically to prepare them for kindergarten. 

•        Between three to five years of age by October 15 of the current school year.

•        Resident of the Conestoga School District.

•        Examined by skilled professionals for any health problems.

•        Is a full day program and follows the 4-day school week of Conestoga Schools.

•        Receive free healthy meals.

The Head Start staff recognize that, as parents, you are the first and most important teachers of your children.  They will welcome your involvement in Head Start activities, and will work as partners with you to help your child progress.
