FBLA Display Honors Soldiers Killed in Combat
Red and yellow flowers?
No, red and yellow utility flags.
On a breezy night, FBLA members planted almost 6000 flags on the north lawn of Conestoga Jr.-Sr. High School, facing HWY 1.
The red and yellow landscaping represents the nation in which the soldier died, either in Afghanistan or Iraq, since the war began.
Yellow represents the soldiers killed in Iraq and the red represents those soldiers killed in Afghanistan. The red cross is bordered by yellow flags to create a display almost 50' x 50'.
In the middle of the cross are flags in the shape of Nebraska to represent Nebraska soldiers killed.
Each flag has a name of a soldier printed on it.
Conestoga FBLA members were invited to use this display previously designed and setup by the Elmwood-Murdock FBLA Chapter.
We thank the Elmwood-Murdock Chapter for allowing us this opportunity to honor our fallen dead.
