Teams Made it to Globals!
April 11, 2008
Conestoga did very well at the State Destination Imagination contest in Kearney this past weekend. Of our 5 teams that qualified, 4 received recognition!
5th grade team –coached by Carol Uhe and Peggy Moore in DI’ve Got a Secret. Team members: Ellen Rice, Claire Moore, Claire Uhe, Jacob Faris, Jacob Sawyer, Megan Jamison, and MaKayla Parriott. Linda Rice was their team judge. This team placed second and advances to Globals in Knoxville, TN
6th grade team-coached by Sheila Sawyer and Jennifer Hardesty in Hit or Myth. Team members: Sarah Morton, Madison Hardesty, Steven Sawyer, Jim Drake, Devanne Martin, Tyler Hicks, and Brandon Friedman. Their team judge was Jan Madsen. This team placed second and advanced to Globals.
7th grade team—coached by Susan Rice in Obstacles, of Course. Team members: Lauren Sparks, Liz Rice, Rachel Lyons, Andrea Tesarek, Conner Lepert, Walker Arce, and Kortni Congdon. Their team judge was MaryAnn Toman. This team placed second and advances to Globals.
3/4th grade team—coached by Linda Sparks and Jen Hoshor in Switch. Team members: Sam Sparks, Matt Morton, Stephanie Hoshor, Jaci Parriott, Kaylie Johnson, Skylar Vondra, and Mandi Jamison. Their team judge was Polly Costello. This team placed third and does not qualify for Globals.
Also attending was the 7/8th grade team-coached by Sheila Sawyer and April Hoshor in Chorific. Team members: Alexis Hoshor, Savannah Miner, Miranda Sawyer, and Kelly McDonnell. Their team judge was Ken Costello.
